About Us
It’s not just a rumor that publishers and movie writers’ rooms are using checklists to ensure every subgroup has representation. In some cases, writers are told not to even begin to write stories until their checklists are filled and approved.
Conservatarian Press, however, wants to hear the stories from the authors’ hearts. We want characters that rise from the story itself, not a literary Bennington ad with all forms represented. We aspire to publish superversive books – stories that uplift by inspiration, stories that build ideas and character rather than tear them down.
We seek heroic heroes and strong heroines (of any color, race, creed, or physical ability), stories that approach important topics from angles considered toxic by the mainstream publishing industry, and stories that make you fall in love with reading again. And we want author voices that are unique, smart, and honest.
If you’re a reader looking for stories that don’t make you want to throw the book against a wall, have a seat and check out some of our offerings. If you’re a writer looking for a home at a publisher who embraces conservative ideals while looking for a way forward – welcome home.
Yggy, Our Marketing Hub
Our marketing hub is in development! This exciting project will provide a place for writers to register and market their books for free, while allowing readers to search for books they will love, also for free. This project will be in beta soon, and hopefully active by the end of the year.
Watch this space for more information and updates.
Sonder, Our Magazine
Short-form fiction and poetry have always been proving grounds for writers, and cultural magazines have always provided a home for critics, thought leaders, and those bearing witness to the things that make a culture. Sonder aims to do both for contemporary Western right-leaning culture, the culture that underlies the politics that seem to take all the air in the room. For this reason, Sonder bans political discussion in favor of examining lives, thoughts, and shared ideas.
Sonder is currently available as a free PDF download. We are examining how to put it in print as well.
Amethyst, Our Answer to NaNoWriMo
The brainchild of Chris Queen and Jamie K. Wilson, Amethyst is our right-leaning answer to NaNo’s increasingly unfriendly attitude toward the non-woke. National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is designed to help fledgling writers complete a novel in a month – November, specifically.
Amethyst is based on the same idea, but will run in February, starting with February 2024. Participants sign up and pledge to complete a novel; Amethyst helps them find one another online and in the real world while inspiring and encouraging them to write every day.
Coming Soon: Writers Workshop
One of the things holding right-leaning culture back is the lack of training; writers and artists are systematically cut out of formal higher education-based training and quite a lot of apprenticeship-style training as well. The left always tells us to build our own infrastructure, so we’re building this, too.
Look for this to go live around the same time as Amethyst. We will do a limited 10-person training first as a test run, but after that we should be able to scale up to whatever size is needed.
