Coming Soon: Yggy, a Search App for Right-Leaning Books

We all hate it: pick up a new book, and three pages in, you notice the bean-counting, the sudden appearance of a gay uncle or a friendly illegal alien or a story about discrimination that simply does not belong there. Read a historical romance and the heroine is a pure feminist – read any mainstream book and God is completely absent, unless the god is Allah or Ganesha. Today it seems like every. single. book. is infected with this stuff, when all we want to do is read a good story and not get preached at, a story that reflects OUR reality rather than someone else’s delusions.

Enter Yggy. Named after the World Tree Yggdrasil, Yggy is a search engine currently in development that will allow right-of-center writers and readers to connect freely and free of charge. For readers, it’s super-simple: you come in and search by title, author, genre, or description for books you want to read. Writers must come and register their books to be found, with the option of creating an authors page as well. Books are linked to marketplaces where they can be purchased: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, or wherever. Later versions of Yggy will add other tools, like a discussion forum, reviews section, and ways to stay in touch with your favorite writers’ work.

If you’re interested in notifications about Yggy’s beta launch, please sign up at our contact page in the links at the top and we will put you on the newsletter list. Let us know whether you are a writer or a reader – or both.

We’re really excited about this!
